Creative Influences and Random Acts

John enjoys music, movies and reading. His work schedule keeps him pretty busy, so reading is usually limited to what he needs to do to prepare for work or teaching. John also enjoys outdoor activities, like hiking and paintball when he can find someone to enjoy it with him.

John has two dogs, Ellie (part pitbull) and Tanner (chocolate lab). Here they are on the back porch of the old house in Bettendorf. Since then, John bought a new home with a pool. Tanner loves to swim!

John also enjoys photography, and has many photos featured in the Cybermaze Photo Gallery,., or more recent photography at Flickr!

John enjoys writing about pretty much anything... you can read some in the PPSA Onine Magazine, or in John's Blog. This is an area where John pretty much lets loose and takes off with any topic that strikes his fancy. It is sort of a personal place for him to speak his mind on topics such as science, computer security and society.

When John's lucky, he sometimes gets to spend quality time with his son. Lately they have both been playing a lot of "World of Warcraft" online.

When he is really lucky, he can sneak off and hide someplace, like a beach in North Carolina without a phone... or his parents' house in Northern Michigan (see below).
