I just finished watching the Christmas 2009 Doctor Who special, The End of Time (pt. 2). In this episode, David Tennant bids us farewell. His death has been much anticipated and obviously, on his part, dreaded. This has given us a very sullen and sad Doctor, for this special and The Waters of Mars. But, we knew it was coming. And, like with all incarnations of the good Doctor, we know that as the well-loved Mr. Tennant moves on to other roles, the franchise will continue. I can only hope that Matt Smith and the writers are able to continue with exciting story lines and that they give us a Doctor that we care for and look forward to revisiting, week after week!

Good Bye, David Tennant! Long live The Doctor!
